Quick Tip #3: The Crown is Coming!!! Jackpot Streams Feature by Konami

Jackpot Streams by Konami is definitely an attention grabber. But is there an advantage play to be had?

Anyone who has been in a casino in the past few years has likely seen & if they haven’t, definitely heard of the “Jackpot Streams Feature” attached to various Konami video slot machines. When triggered it’s an attention grabber that often causes passerbys to stop dead in their tracks with it’s loud ring & announcement that the player is in the feature. What follows is a mini-game that is reminiscent of the classic coin pusher machines seen at arcades. The player is guaranteed to win a prize of credits or one of the 4 progressive jackpots.

One of the things that gets people to sit on these machines & often keep playing is the position of the symbols on the screen. In particular the crown or the teddy bear which represent the two highest jackpots. When one of those two are near the front, players often think that when the next jackpot streams feature is triggered that they have a great chance of hitting that progressive.

Ooooh! The crown & a bear is up near the front. Do you have a great chance to win one? Not likely.

This is an absolute trap play and there is no advantage to these machines. The positioning on the symbols means absolutely nothing & when the feature is triggered the result is already pre-determined for the player. Of course it’s heavily weighted towards awarding one of the lower prizes. Just like those machines where you have to match 3 symbols to win a progressive. Ever notice how often players easily find the 1st two symbols to win the top prize but can almost never find the 3rd? Same idea applies.

I remember seeing many advantage slot players experimenting with these slot machines when they first came out. Some hustlers even believed that there was an advantage to be had. Over time they came to realize that what they had was pure luck & that playing these over the long haul was a losing proposition.

Winning the bear appears out of the question this time. It usually is most of the time anyway.

So for you new advantage players who’d like to play Konami machines with the Jackpot Streams Feature, have fun. Just go in knowing that there isn’t a way to beat this machine.
