Regal Riches & its sister game Prosperity Pearl are two slot machines by IGT. What makes these two games unique is a progressive must hit by wilds feature that is attached to three separate meters. These wild meters must hit by minor/purple 75, major/green 100 & mega/gold 125 respectively. These meters go up when the colored diamonds(RR)/pearls(PP) that correspond to each meter land on column 5. Up to four can land at one time.
When triggered, either by reaching the limit or by hitting two free games symbols plus the free games symbol of the corresponding color, you are given ten free games. During these 10 free games all of the accumulated wilds will be spent. Wilds can land repeatedly on the same spot. When this happens that spot’s multiplier will go up by one up to 5x. Ideally you’d want wilds to land bunched up together or in a pattern as opposed to randomly scattered about. When the free games are over the meter will be reset to its starting number. 30 for minor, 40 for major and 50 for mega.
There’s a fourth meter that isn’t as eye-catching as the other three. It’s also the meter that will get you the majority of your advantage plays.
What to look for & how do I advantage play Regal Riches/Prosperity Pearl?
While your attention will take you to the three big numbers on the screen, the smaller fourth meter is located at the center of the screen above column three. This center meter is also a progressive wild meter which starts at 5. Blue diamonds(RR)/pearls(PP) can show up on any of the reels. You can be awarded up to 5 on a spin. On any given spin this meter will be triggered & all of the wilds accumulated will be spent on that spin.
You can look down at the betting options & see the meters for the three main meters but not for the smaller center meter. You have to go through and tap each of the bet options to see it. Finding one at 8 offers you a slight edge. Of course anything higher is better. The rules state that the center meter can go as high as 50 but it rarely ever goes higher than 15.
As for the big numbers, these were the numbers given to me from someone far smarter than me assuming the other two numbers are at reset: minor 63, major 83, mega 113 or 65/85/115. Make of them what you will but these are the playable numbers depending upon what the payback percentage is set on the machine which is almost always a mystery unless you obtain a par sheet from a slot tech or are fortunate enough to be near when the machine is being installed. If true, I see that we have our typical race to the bottom when it comes to many advantage play slot machines.
I say this because I don’t know about your local casinos but in the highly competitive Las Vegas market, I generally see slot hustlers take Regal Riches/Prosperity Pearl plays at lower numbers. I do believe that it’s a combination of taking a suboptimal play in hopes of getting lucky & also clearing the play so that another hustler can’t play it.
Regardless, if you are able to find a RR/PP at a good number make sure that you have enough money to play it to completion. They can get especially pricey at the higher bets & denominations when chasing the major & mega progressive wilds.
Regal Riches/Prosperity Pearl is a really good advantage play slot machine. Blue diamonds/pearls show up relatively often & it doesn’t take many of them for a machine to become a play. Many advantage players know this & as a result these are some of the most regularly checked machines for plays.
