What do you get when you cross Golden Egypt & Scarab? You get Golden Jungle Grand by IGT. This machine blends elements of the two machines. Players must collect two temple symbols to turn a reel wild just like on Golden Egypt but you have to wait until the 10th spin until they become wild as is the case with Scarab. Reels that will become wild will be highlighted as a reminder to the player of what will happen on spin 10. On a side note, I find it a little odd that this game is titled Golden Jungle Grand because it has little in common with the machine Golden Jungle which is a clone of Aladdin’s Fortune.
How do you advantage play & “beat” Golden Jungle Grand?
There is some debate as far as when to play this machine as there are numerous possible setups. I probably play this machine more conservatively than most & that is when I am guaranteed at least one wild reel on reels 1-3. Play until the reels become wild on spin 10, collect your winnings & leave.
What I would not do is chase temples on what appear to be potentially good boards, particularly when the spin count is low. For example, it may be tempting to see reels 1 & 3 already with a temple but it’s only on spin 2 of 10. The assumption is that you have 8 more spins to collect remaining temples & turn multiple reels wild. However, on many occasions players get bricked & get only one or perhaps no more temples thus making the play a losing one.
True, a situation like that on Golden Jungle Grand isn’t going to cause you to go broke but losses like that are entirely preventable if you maintain discipline. Overall it’s an easy & for the most part cheap game to advantage play. Potential hustle opportunities come somewhat regularly because of the reels turning wild every ten spins. However, the game has been around for awhile now that many regular slot players know how the game works. Therefore, I’d only check these machines when they are getting significant action or if the machine is along your path to checking something else more lucrative.
